What I learned this week
This week I really
enjoyed the talks by Sheri Dew and Lynn Robbins. I think too often I
get caught up in the technical side of things and don't really think
about how the gospel ties into them, because I ties into everything that
we do. I sometimes just want to know how to do it and be done with it,
so the LDS perspective is what I learn the most from that benefits me
in my life. I really loved Elder Robbins grading system and it made me
think about my life and even though I am a stay at home mom what I can
do to improve my ethical behavior at home and be able to receive that A
grade.
I also enjoyed the videos especially the one with the top
ten things to do when starting a business. It was very insightful and I
enjoyed thinking about what we would do if my husband and I do decide
to open one. I really didn't like the Rich Grad video. I don't really
think that the most important things in life require money. Most
everything does and there are very important things on that list, but
when I think about what is most important to me in life, I don't need
money for those things. Especially prayer. It doesn't matter how rich
or poor I am, Heavenly Father will always listen and answer my sincere,
heartfelt prayers.
What I look forward to learning
I do look forward to learning and applying LDS principles into the idea of entrepreneurship.
Even in my little direct sales job with Heritage Makers, I feel like if I
were to incorporate more of the principles that I hold so dear that I
will be able to excel at that as well as other things.
